1. 顺着9月份的炼金术课程内容再说几句, 关于月光意识、psychic reality和原型心理学的观看方式。psyche位于body和spirit之间, 是后两者的中介, 一如月亮作为地球和太阳的传递和分配中介。个体差异发生在psyche之中, 生命和内在意识的进化是psyche的炼金术过程的结果。人生的烦恼根本上源于无明, 不理解人生何以如此, “我不应该活成这样”, 认识不到人世剧本的客观性, 不理解人生过程的意义。心灵事实优先于worldly reality, 有其自身的逻辑和客观秩序, earthly matters往往是内在逻辑的后果。可是心灵事实看不见摸不着, 人们的大脑意识天然地亲近worldly reality, 抑或鹦鹉学舌般地搬弄听来的关于灵性境界的话语, 却迟迟没有发展出观看psychic reality和the logos of soul的方式, a way of seeing.

Psyche是众神主宰的领域, 诸多原型力量自主运转的交织, 构成了每个人的个体性和个体化的人生过程。正是由于众神和原型力量从不征求ego的意见, 人生过程才具有客观性, 也才可以被人理解。人生的意义植根于人生的可理解性。原型心理学是原本的the logos of psyche, 炼金术是关于人生中心灵进化过程的原型说明。学会了这种观看方式, 人就不再执着于earthly matters和worldly reality, 倒果为因, 也不必急于求助自己以为的或听来的灵性境界作为抓手和支撑, 而是逐步看到个体生命进程的客观逻辑, 理解个体差异的根源和人世经历的必要意义, 如此才与自己和世界和解, 与众神实现cosmic harmony.

月亮和银子, 太阳和金子, 银子是通向金子的必经之路。“What is occult in gold is manifest in silver, and what is manifest in gold is occult in silver.” 一旦学会了这种观看方式, 开启了看清psychic reality的月光意识, 就身处炼金术的白色阶段了。

原型心理学的关键思想资源之一是Henry Corbin对于the imaginal的确立说明, the imaginal和the imaginary之间的区分, 这个区分也是传统的客观艺术和现代的主观艺术之间的分别。Psyche is objective. 原型心理学的对象是objective psyche. 人本主义心理学只有在特定限度内才有价值, 一旦逾越就陷入愚蠢了。

现代人的视野收缩了之后, 更高的实在被遮蔽了。现代哲学家自以为是地说, 人生本来没有意义, 意义是每个人通过自己的英雄式的行动创造出来的。他们不知道, 古往今来, 没有比这样的看法更愚蠢的了。

2. James Hillman《Alchemical Psychology》主体是说明以“黑色、蓝色、白色、黄色和红色”为名的炼金术过程的诸阶段, 其中的“alchemical blue”尤其是关于颜色的现象学和原型心理学的杰作, 心灵疗愈过程中最微妙的过渡阶段。长达77页的“Sliver and the White Earth”是原型心理学的奠基性文献之一, 和Robert Graves的名著《白色女神》一样堪称诗学的基础。

The world is the vale of soul-making. 若不从James Hillman等人所倡导的原型心理学和炼金术心理学的视角出发, 现代人终究无法理解人生中的遭遇和苦痛, 尤其抑郁的实质和意义。有谁比他更懂得, depression is the via regia in soul-making？

3. 盐；苦涩心酸。这一生尝了不少盐。好在盐是主体性的根基。盐和铅的苦难, 尤其源于leaden salt的创伤。上升位置的木星为火和硫磺留了一个强大的出口, 于是人生不得不走向盐和硫磺的Conjunction. 第8宫是炼金术的实验室, 也是基于关系的盐矿。
The alchemical substances offer distinctions in kinds of suffering. Salt, for example, may be distinguished from lead, in that the first is sharp, stinging, acute：it burns in on itself with wit and bite, corrosive acrimony, making sense through self-accusation and self-purification. It is purgative. Lead, however, is chronic and dense, a heavy, oppressive gloomy suffering, without specified focus, senseless. It is constipative. Where salt says “it hurts”, lead says “I can’t.” Where salt tastes the details of its pain by remembering precisely and with piercing agony, lead cannot see, does not know, remaining paralyzed and sunk in a general, abstract obliteration of empirical memory.

铅的沉重下坠, I can’t, “我不能, 我做不到”, 缓慢长期的积淀导致很难克服的inertia, 会挫败硫磺性质的will, 由于“I can’t”, 所以不敢有意愿、有向往, 火焰被挫败, 被憋回去, 更无从行动, 这是一种慢性铅中毒导致的“死亡”。铅的苦难往往比盐的苦深重多了。复活是一种卓绝的挑战。

4. Jacob Boehme‘s 《Signatura Rerum》, the Signature of All Things, 开篇第1章中

“All whatever is spoken, written, or taught of God, without the knowledge of the signature, is dumb and void of understanding.…”
“Therefore the greatest understanding lies in the signature, wherein man may not only learn to know himself, but therein also he may learn to know the essence of all esences；for by the external form of all creatures, by their instigation, inclination and desire, also by their sound, voice and speech which they utter, the hidden spirit is known. ……”

“Everything has its mouth to manifestation, and this is the language of nature, whence everything speaks out of its property, and continually manifests, declares and set forth itself for what it is good or profitable；For each thing manifests its mother which thus gives the Essence and the will to the form.”

宇宙是神的投影, image或身体, 人是microcosm, 因此有形宇宙和人的身体是同一部天书, first order, 相比这部天书, 活的天书, 任何经书, scriptures, 都是次一级的、衍生的。如何读懂这部天书, 至少一部分？如何识得万物之signature？心的智慧, 月光意识, initiation, revelation。跟着古代埃及人、Paracelsus和Rudolf Steiner学习。这里也是James Hillman的原型心理学的源头和基础。

To the alchemist, the world is signed by the gods and we learn to read their signatures and gain the significance afforded by each thing. Assumed here is the inherent intelligibility of the world. This innate knowledge does not reside in God’s omniscient mind, but is immanent in the world of things, giving to each its specific value and allowing it to be understood.

5. 今天下午上半堂课再次说明炼金术三原则, 硫磺、水银和盐, 与星座及宫位的三分法的对应, 尤其“the suffering of salt”. 下半堂课关于颜色和炼金术的颜色阶段, 银子和白色阶段的关键性, 如何为真正的心理学the logos of psyche奠基。多神论与一神论、唯名论和唯实论的分野, 现象学和原型心理学的观看方式如何确立多神论的真理和心灵事实的优先性, 两种真理、科学和诗学及alchemical psychology的分别。

荣格拿自己的心理学尤其individuation的过程来解释炼金术, 一种metapsychology of alchemy, 关于炼金术的元心理学。希尔曼拿炼金术本身作为典范为心理学奠基, 心理学即alchemical psychology.

如何理解人生的过程和意义？如何对待和疗愈人生的苦恼？最后, 根本上需要理解世界观的根本分歧, 需要调和多神论和一神论的分歧, 实现更高的综合。多神论世界观的枢纽是psyche, soul, objective psyche. 一神论, the One, Spirit. 相对于多神论, 无神论更接近一神论, 甚至是极端的一神论的逻辑后果。一神论走向自然神论, 自然神论走向无神论, 根源就是对psyche的遗忘。西方历史的主线就是基督教一神论和古代异教多神论之间的冲突。理解印度宗教史的关键之一也是, 多神论和一神论倾向的分歧和复杂的表现途径。原本在完整的形而上学和神智学中一神论和多神论各有其逻辑位置, 和谐共存。Astrology和更一般的hermetic science源于古代异教侧重多神论和psyche的背景。我们的星象学课程一开始就提到了胡因梦为代表的灵修倾向会损害她们对astrology的理解。

Body, psyche, spirit. 地球, 月亮, 太阳。这个中间环节是人生过程的根本, 真正的心理学的基础。The way to the gold is via the silver. 通向金子的道路必须经过银子。“What is occult in gold is manifest in silver, and what is manifest in gold is occult in silver.” 隐藏在金子中的东西显现在银子上, 显现在金子上的东西隐藏在银子里。

阴阳, 四元素, 三原则。水银、硫磺和盐。地球、月亮和太阳。黑色、白色和各种颜色。诸行星, 以及它们在地球里的种子诸金属。银子和金子。哲人石。只有借助这些最基本的象征, 人才认识了自己, 认识了世界, 明白人生的过程、目的和意义。

心理学首先是原型心理学, astrological psychology和alchemical psychology。2017年课程开端说, astrology的目的是炼金术。如今我们会认识到, 炼金术是深入解读astrology的钥匙。缺了对alchemical psychology的理解, 解读星盘的潜力就大打折扣。

6. “A psychopathology might better be derived from the principles of the heavens and their seeds in the earth, from the elements and the myths, a psychopathology which starts in the white earth of the imagination where the mind itself begins, than deriving psychopathology from secular behavioral categories. This archetypal psychopathology returns the conditions we suffer to their authentic home in cosmic and divine events. For if we are created in divine images, so too are our afflictions. Archetypal psychopathology gives credit to these events, where credit means faith in them as bearing transpersonal seeds that will out through our individual lives. What’s more, and last, this mode of psychopathology, which considers silver the prime ingredient and necessary origin of psychological thinking, turns to those smiths of silver, the poets, as physicians and musicians of the soul.”

James Hillman以这段话结束了那篇长达77页的解释炼金术之白色阶段的原型心理学的文章“Silver and the White Earth”, 人类心灵的自我观照和理解的历史上最杰出的天才之作之一。the logos of psyche, the logos of life.

从原型心理学的视角来把握地球、月亮和太阳之间的关系及其含义, 金属尤其银子和金子的含义和关系, 颜色的象征含义, 就通达了人的生命和psyche的秘密, 人生过程的客观性和意义, 心理病理学的本质规定性和存在理由, 领悟到大宇宙和小宇宙作为天书本身的微妙深邃, 同时也有助于彻底明白脑与心、科学理性和诗艺之间的分别。可惜这样的视角和背后的世界观、这种原本的心理学和这样的天才人物, 迟迟不会进入现代思想的视野, 跻身主流学术界的庙堂。
